We leave Trogir harbour at dawn. Eleven hours later, you'll have crossed the channel to the islands, been through the most luminous cave in the Mediterranean and swum in waters that don't appear in any mass-market guidebook.
The Blue Cave (Modra špilja) on the island of Biševo is one of the few natural phenomena in the Mediterranean truly worth the journey. Between 11:00 and 13:00, when the sun is high, its rays enter through an underwater opening and reflect off the limestone seabed: the water turns electric blue and everything inside is lit from below.
But the cave is only the beginning. The tour continues through five islands that together reveal the Adriatic almost nobody sees: the secret cove of Stiniva on Vis, the turquoise lagoon of Budikovac, the Pakleni archipelago and, finally, Hvar — the best-known island — where we stop to eat and head back in the afternoon light.
Leaving from Trogir instead of Split has an advantage: the crossing to Biševo takes just 1h15min and we avoid the harbour traffic of summer mornings. We work with an English-speaking local crew and, after you book, we send you a detailed PDF guide with a detailed narration of the cave and every stop. Mario assists you via WhatsApp before and after the tour.
Check-in at 06:15 next to the Kamerlengo tower. Boarding, safety briefing and departure at 06:30; a short stop in Split to pick up the rest of the group, then the speedboat crossing to Biševo.
Transfer to the small local boat that enters the cave (entrance 18-24 €/person depending on the season, not included). About 15 minutes inside: sunlight enters through an underwater opening and turns the water a phosphorescent blue.
An hour in this authentic fishing village on the west side of Vis: coffee by the harbour, a stroll through its lanes or a quick swim.
Half an hour's swim at one of Croatia's most photographed beaches: a narrow cove wedged between two sheer rock walls.
We pass by this white-pebble beach, a filming location for Mamma Mia — time for photos from the boat.
An hour of swimming and snorkelling in the shallow turquoise lagoon of this little islet off Vis.
Half an hour of scenic cruising among the chain of islets, with hidden coves and emerald waters.
Two and a half hours in the town of Hvar: lunch, the Old Town, the Arsenal (the third-oldest theatre in Europe) or a climb up to the Španjola fortress with views over the Pakleni Islands. Return: arrival in Split around 18:30 and in Trogir around 19:00.
The order and timing of the itinerary may vary depending on Adriatic weather conditions and the waiting time at the Blue Cave entrance (Biševo island). The skipper will adjust the route to make the most of the experience and the best conditions of the day.
We only charge a deposit in advance of 20 €/person to secure your spot. The balance (100 €/person) is paid on the day of the tour, in cash or via Revolut. That way, if the trip has to be cancelled due to bad weather, getting your money back is immediate.
Up to 24 h before the tour: full refund of the deposit.
If we cancel due to sea conditions or the cave being closed: 100% refund or a free date change.
You pay the remaining 100 €/person on the day of the tour, in cash (EUR) or via Revolut.
We left from Trogir and the advantage is huge: you skip the morning chaos at Split harbour. Trogir is also a beautiful town; we strolled around the Old Town after the tour. The Blue Cave was spectacular.
We rounded off the season with this tour in October. Less heat, water still warm and far fewer people at the cave. The skipper knew how to move between the stops to avoid other groups.
We were staying in Trogir and didn't want to waste time on transfers. This option was perfect. Punctual departure, a full day out and back at the harbour in time for dinner in the historic centre.
It was my birthday trip and we chose this tour. Worth every euro. Stiniva is the most spectacular beach I've ever seen, and the little lagoon at Budikovac is a whim of nature. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
A very well-organised tour from the very first email. Mario sent us the PDF with all the information about the cave, and that's worth its weight in gold. A perfect day.
If you're staying in Trogir or around Čiovo, this is the best option. It leaves practically from the centre. Speedboat, varied stops, crystal-clear water. The Blue Cave literally glows in the midday sun.
4 friends travelling together and we had an amazing time. The speed of the boat takes your breath away at times, but it's very safe. The Pakleni Islands on the way back in the golden sunset light are a postcard scene.
We took our kids (9 and 11) and everything was perfect. A very patient skipper, stops suited to children, calm water at Budikovac for swimming. The cave entrance is 24€ extra, but the kids love it.
Booking online was really easy. The 20€ deposit via Stripe was instant. The balance in cash to the skipper. No hassle. The tour delivered on every promise: the cave, Vis, Budikovac, Pakleni and Hvar.
We loved it. The stop at Stiniva was my favourite: a narrow cove wedged between two sheer rock walls. You have to walk a few minutes to reach the beach, but the view when you arrive leaves you speechless.
Trogir is a gem in itself, and setting off from there by speedboat at dawn is a beautiful experience. We saw dolphins halfway, and the skipper stopped the boat so we could photograph them. Unforgettable.
Mario answered all my questions on WhatsApp, even out of hours. That kind of customer care is what sets it apart from big, anonymous tours. A very complete tour, maximum 12 people, a super relaxed atmosphere.
We came in June to avoid the July-August crush and it was the right call. Perfect water for swimming, no queues at the cave, everything more relaxed. Leaving from Trogir also lets you discover a historic centre many people skip.
May in Croatia is ideal for this. The cave was almost empty; we went in as a small group and could enjoy it in peace. The water was still cold for my taste, but bearable in a neoprene swimsuit.
We ended our holiday in Croatia with this tour and it was the perfect finale. We left from Trogir after visiting the historic centre the day before. A very professional skipper and well-chosen stops.
Highly recommended. Mario is attentive, professional and honest: he tells you clearly what to expect on board and sends you a PDF guide to the cave. That's transparency.
A 10 out of 10 day. The speedboat is very safe and the skipper drives brilliantly. The Blue Cave is a magical place; the sunlight coming through the underwater opening creates a blue that doesn't look real.
The Pakleni Islands really surprised us. Every islet has hidden coves, turquoise waters and snorkelling spots full of fish. Hvar at the end of the day for a drink in the Old Town. A full day, and a very complete one.
Better than any of the big tours we saw at agencies. Here you're on a small speedboat with a maximum of 12 people, not on crowded boats. You really notice the difference in the quality of the experience.
We went as a couple and loved the personal attention. The boat crew were super friendly, music on board, water included. Trogir as a starting point is ideal if you're staying in the area.
The crossing from Trogir to Biševo is 1h15min. A bit quicker than from Split. The speed of the boat means you hardly notice the journey. We reached the cave in a perfect window of light.
A very well-organised tour. A confirmation email with all the info, a clear meeting point, punctual boarding. The day flew by between swimming and snorkelling stops. I'd go back without hesitation.
We went as a group of friends for our stag do. Music, laughs, stops in heavenly spots. The skipper adapted to the group and we all had the best time. 100% recommended.
The most complete tour we did on our holiday in Croatia. The Blue Cave alone justifies booking, and the rest (Stiniva, Budikovac, Pakleni, Hvar) comes as a bonus. All in a single day.
We booked at short notice and they still had spots. Mario sorted everything out really quickly. The tour met and exceeded expectations. The turquoise waters of Budikovac are almost tropical.
A highly recommended tour if you're staying in Trogir, Čiovo, Slatine or near the airport. You avoid the traffic jams getting into Split. The same tour, but leaving from a more manageable and prettier place.
We came in early June looking for low season and it was the right call. Few crowds at the cave; we stopped to snorkel wherever we wanted without sharing a cove with 5 boats. The water was already quite warm.
My first time in Croatia and this tour was the best part of the trip. Trogir as the starting point was a lovely surprise, and the Blue Cave is something I'll remember all my life. Thank you, Mario, for the flawless organisation.

Trogir is a historic centre with World Heritage status, ideal if you're staying there or in the Trogir/Slatine/Čiovo area. We also avoid Split's harbour traffic in July and August. If you're staying in central Split, the tour from Split will be more convenient for you.
Entry depends on sea conditions: if the waves are high, the authorities close the cave for safety and there's nothing we can do. In that case you don't pay the entry fee (the only amount paid there) and the tour carries on as normal: all the other stops on the itinerary are still visited. As this isn't a cancellation on our part, no refund or date change applies.
The blue can be seen whenever the sun is out; the peak intensity is around midday, but visiting the cave first thing (we arrive around 09:00) has a big advantage: you avoid the 1-2-hour queues of high season and enjoy the rest of the day on the islands at a relaxed pace.
You only pay the 20 €/person deposit online via Stripe (card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Revolut Pay). The balance (100 €/person) is paid directly to the skipper on the day of the tour, in cash (EUR) or via Revolut.
The crew of the group boat are local Croatians and speak English. So you don't miss a thing, we email you a PDF with the full narration of the cave and every stop. Mario also looks after you personally via WhatsApp before and after the tour.
If the skipper cancels due to sea conditions, we refund 100% of your deposit or change the date at no cost. You take on no weather risk at all.
Yes, up to 24 h before the tour we refund your deposit in full. After that the deposit is non-refundable, but as we only charge 20 €/person online, the cost of cancelling late is very low.
A maximum of 12 people. It's a small group, ideal for everyone to enjoy each stop without feeling crowded.
We send you the exact GPS location by email after booking and on WhatsApp 24-48 h before the tour.
With GetYourGuide, Viator or TripAdvisor you book through a platform, but the people who take you out are a local Croatian operator. If something changes, you end up opening support tickets that take ages. With us, everything is sorted with a single WhatsApp — directly with the people who run the tour.
